Acclimation & Thanksgiving

It's been a great November thus far!  We're really enjoying Mountain View and getting to know all of our students and church family!  It's not hard to get acclimated to such great people in such a great place to live.  So far this month, we started a new tradition with the first Turkey Hunt (extreme scavenger hunt) in which I've carried with me since 2006 and have been a part of since 1996.  In the Turkey Hunt, teams are formed and adult drivers are chosen to go on a wild goose chase (in this case, a stuffed turkey) all around town in search of difficult clues that lead to the hiding place of an elusive, devious turkey!  This year, our winning team went to Olivia Callahan, Sierra May, Kaley Shipman, and Canaan Myers (with driver Jim Duncan).

Last night, 18 students stayed to help put together Operation Christmas Child boxes.  FBC Mountain View is a drop off location for boxes and it's great to see so many church members taking part in the boxing and gathering of so many bundles of hope and love!  I want to thank those that helped last night... your help was greatly appreciated.  I also had a blast with you guys!

As I mentioned at the start, it's been a great November thus far... and we still have Thanksgiving deliciousness coming our way!
Have a great week in Christ and a happy Thanksgiving as well!
